Many people still support him and his extravagant life style and say what ever it costs to stay in Iraq.
They will never have peace, and eventually the president or next president will remove the troopes and the ones who die over there died for nothing.
In 6000 years those people have never had peace and they never will. |

Soldiers aren't fools.
But you sure look pretty foolish calling people names that protect your right to flap those lips. |

I would absolutely NOT call our soldiers "fools" for volunteering to serve, as much as I dislike our president and his war. It's important to have a national defense system. |

Our soldiers are just doing their job. They do not do the job for their boss they do their job for their children and each other. |

No...our soldiers are HEROES!!! They have no control over what our president does...our soldiers have a job, just like most people. You're right, they do volunteer. It's a guaranteed job with benefits Unfortunately, war is a possibility. I make it a point to stop and say "Thank you" to our men and women in uniform. They are fighting and protecting our freedom in America. |

You need to look at the facts. The soldiers are joining up to fight in that, as you call it, 'Bush war.' They aren't brainwashed...you are.
I think he spends a lot less time 'partying' than past prezs. |

Soldiers follow orders.
Our President Bush is fighting the honorable fight!
He is defending our precious nation against terrorism and those who would remove our liberties.
Unless you are willing to take the place of one of our soldiers, you have no right to criticize them. |

Never insult our soldiers like that. Choose your words carefully before you speak, or post, or whatever. I hope you don't have the gall to ask that in person. I know a few places where you wouldn't make it back out the door you came in. Know what I mean? Whatever your political affiliation is our soldiers are never fools. They are the brave men and women who volunteer and risk the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Never disrespect our soldiers for the sake of your political beliefs. |

Selfish egotistical individuals will never understand what it takes to be a soldier. A Soldier understands the price of freedom and is willing to give his life for it. A Soldier is not in it for fame or glory but rather a sense of duty and honor.
You may not agree with the war and you may hate Bush for the war and you may be into all of the propaganda that has spewed forth from those who seek power in this country by politicizing this conflict and you may not understand how one could or would serve his Country. But just because you do not understand why someone chooses a course of action does not mean he/she is brainwashed. One could make the argument that you are brainwashed by all of the propaganda that you have read and viewed. Does that make you a fool or possibly poorly informed?
Bottom line, you have not earned the right to demean a soldier. What have you been willing to sacrifice? When have you sacrificed for something or someone that you believe to be more important then yourself? Calling a soldier a fool just makes me believe that you are at the top in your selfish world. I would take any soldier on his worst day over someone who has allowed himself to be duped by those who would like to rise in power in this country. |

Our soldiers are not "fools". If they weren't enlisting, we would still have a war. It would just be a random pick of the people that are fighting. You should be thankful for those people b/c it's brave people like them that leave you out of it. I have my theory on Bush too but I leave it alone. Most everyone enlisted in the army today will be retired at 45. They are smart, they are brave, and they are paid. Is it worth it? Depends on the person. |

You are the fool who's hanging on to any last threads that you can. In case you didn't know, we're winning in Iraq and the effort has shown to be worth it. Here's the links.

This so-called Bush war was voted "Yes" by your beloved Hillary Clinton and John Kerry, and the rest of the members of Congress.
It's obvious you don't have a grip on reality. |

First off it is not Bush's War. The fact is that the majority of the Senate and Congress voted in favor of the war. Soldiers volunteer to protect and serve our Country without bias as to who their Commander and Chief is. There is only one other way to preserve our freedom and that is to vote. If you do not like the leaders now then make sure to vote for the candidate that best fits your way of thinking. For now we need to show a united front to the rest of the world we can disagree behind closed doors but when we go public we need to all walk and quack the same tune so that our enemies cannot divide us. |

An awful lot of awful people spouting off about something they have no idea about.
They're not fools, they're not brainwashed, and they know a hell of a lot more about what is going on in the world than you do.
They don't need some snot-nosed punk calling them names or thinking they are "victims". They don't need your callow "compassion". |

Apparently you have never been in the armed forces... YOU DONT HAVE A CHOICE A$$HOLE! You can object till the end, but it is your JOB to do as you are told. If you dont like it then DONT JOIN! |

So following your logic, the 12 million United States Veterans of World War 2 are brainwashed and believe they only fought to serve Franklin Roosevelt. All those brave men and women who served the military during the Korean War are brainwashed and believe they only fought to serve Harry Truman. What about me and my brothers and sisters who fought during the Vietnam War. Those we served in Grenda, South America, and all those other places the US Military has fought. This does include Desert Storm. Why have you singled out Iraqi Freedom? You seem to feel that serving in the military is the wrong thing for them to do.
All of the military and me also, served because we volenteered to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and to follow the lawful orders of those appointed above us. Only Congress can declare war. The President can ask for one. Once it is approved, the President as Commander in Chief gives the orders to the Secretary of Defense and the military does its job. NO solidier wants to go to war, NO soldier wants to die, and NO soldier wants to be wounded physically or mentally. She/he is doing the job for you. Just so you have the right to ask stupid questions in a public forum. Just so you can ***** about the President and the war. The war ends the day Congress cuts off the money or the mission is accomplished.
You are why we fight. Thank you for reminding the active duty of why we are there and thank you for reminding us veterans what we did was right. Now why don't you stay out of my way. |

You can dig up dirt about every president....But you did make a point the soldiers are volunteers.......That is what soldiers are for peace time and war-time..............cannot have your cake and eat it too. We have all had duties in an occupation that are not what we wanted...But we applied for the job and the duties there-in. They are protecting "YOU" and me, so maybe you should show some gratitude. (or volunteer) Bush doesn't have full control....of everything ......wait till Hillary gets in... Hmmmm.!!! |

I do not serve in this Country's military for the President. I serve in this Country because I feel I have a duty to. Our Country was built by blood, sweat, and sacrifice of countless Patriots have put aside their personal beliefs and have gone before me to make our Country the best in the world. I know that they were not "fools", nor are our current Servicemembers. Other than complain about our Nation...what have you done for it "Fool"? |

Recent polls show that the majority (around 60%) of the troops now believe the war is a mistake. But they are stuck with their commitment; some simply enjoy the military and others stay in for economic reasons. |

They are more like the victims of Bush's war. They must follow his orders because he is ultimately at the top of their chain of command. |

This is exactly what President Dwight Eisenhower warned the American people in the '50s about the Military Industrial Complex, that future political leaders will someday use the US military to pursue their own personal political agendas, not for the sake of the vast majority of American people's interests. That cannot be more true than it is today. |

Military personnel have no choice as to whether or not to follow the orders of their Commander in Chief...no matter how much of an idiot he may be... |

Soldiers have to do what they are told to do. They don't get a choice. They are not brainwashed.
Now, those of us who are not soldiers have a choice. Since we haven't impeached him yet, I guess we non-military people are the brainwashed ones. |

I don't think the solders are the fools.......especially for those who signed up before the war. Some sign up just to get a education and or training that they wouldn't be able to afford. Some want to get out of the environment they lived in all their lives and better themselves. Some don't even want to go to war. We all know the gov keep their words no matter what, LOL. They get these KIDs out of high school. I had friend who were in training before they even graduated. And once you in list, they own you. And once you're done, you are on your own. |

The soldiers are not fools. Although some might be brainwashed, the majority are just doing what they have to. When you join the military you sign away your rights. |

Why do you think there is a shortage in basic training camps...no one wants to volunteer to go because their is a war and because the cause isn't laid out...some don't even know why they are over there other than to defend their country but ask if they are really their to defend their country or if Bush has other intentions (finish daddy's loose ends maybe??more??) But no, it's not their fault...some join because they want to serve and protect...but the reasons of this "war" are unclear and they do it to protect their families for the future... |
