No, that's your monthly, or base pay. The way the pay works is that for each rank and number of years of service, there is a set monthly wage. You also receive various entitlements depending on your individual situation. If you have a spouse or children, you would receive housing allowance (or military housing). If you are not living in the barracks and do not have a meal card, you receive a couple hundred extra for food allowance. If you are proficient in another language and maintain you test scores, you can receive Foreign Language Proficiency Pay. If you're deployed and separated from your family (spouse and children, not parents or siblings) you would receive separation allowance. You would also receive various allowances for combat pay, hazardous duty, sea service, etc.
They add up all your entitlements, subtract taxes and any other money you owe, allotments you have set up, etc. then they divide the remainder into two (usually equal) payments and pay you on the 1st and 15th of the month. How big your paycheck actually is on each payday depends on what your entitlements are and how much you are receiving out of your pay. Some receive as little as $500 a paycheck, while others receive as much as a couple thousand a paycheck.

Those are monthly numbers. I'm not entirely sure if all branches pay on the same schedule, but i suspect they do: twice a month.
