I was in the US Army from 1995 to 2004. I was a staff sergeant (E-6) when I got out, due to partial paralysis in my right hand due to an IED blast in Sammara, Iraq in 2003. I served in Bosnia in 1996, Kosovo in 1999, deployed again in 1999-2000 to Kuwait, Afghanistan 2001-2002. Iraq 2003. I currently am working on my Bachelor's in History and plan on teaching history in a University.

Went in the Navy as an e-3 and come out the same. As for action, does midnight manuevers with the marine I was dating count? We WERE on the beach at least.........

3rd Marine Division, Vietnam 1967-1968, at Dong Ha during the 1968 Tet Offensive.

U.S. Army Veteran (E-4) Served from 1991-1995. Did 2 tours to South Korea. Didn't see any action....for obvious reasons.

E-7, I was in the first gulf war,Somalia,and in the invasion of Iraq in 2003,retired from the army last year.

I was a Sergeant in the Marine Corps and I fought the battle of the giesha girl with the 3rd Marine Division. Actually, I was not in a combat company, my job was that of ambulance driver. It was a very active job that kept me running 24/7. The Marine Corps didn't allocate too many people to this position, so those who were had to have a serious work ethic, and a strong stomach !
