This does happen in warfare and the US has an unfortunate reputation for being the worse culprit.
Warfare puts humans in the most stressful situation that they can experience and no-one can be sure of their own reaction to this stress.
Also humans make mistakes - the US bombed Switzerland a couple of times in WW2 due to navigational errors.
That said there are instances where it is more difficult to accept the actions of supposed allies. In one of the airborne operations of WW2 in the Med, British gliders were being towed by US aircraft and when the formation came under some light flak the US pilots cut the gliders loose and turned tail, leaving the gliders to crash into the sea drowning many British troopers. |

Here is a joke from WW2 which might help
the Germans shoot and the British and Americans duck
the the British shoot and the Germans duck
the Americans shoot and EVERYBODY ducks
and nothing has changed |

Not only British People - Gulf war 1 had dozens of blue on blue with US Forces shooting each other.

Mistakes always happen during conflict, it is the nature of the beast.
It is true that the US has probably been involved in more "blue on blue" attacks on British forces than the other way round (if ever) during the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.
That being said, we British are not immune, there were incidents of our own "blue on blue" during the Falklands War, in Iraq and more recently in Afghanistan. |

that's happens since the birth of warfare we blew up a tank and killed six british or something like that that were mistaken for taliban the first fatality of the gulf war was someone fell asleep behind a truck and someone backed over-him |

During WW2 the US Air Force bombed and killed so many of the allied forces that they were dubbed the American Luftwaffe.
During the first Gulf War the only British forces to have been killed was by American planes mistaking them for enemy troops.
And it is still happening in Iraq and Afghanistan today. So much for ' SMART BOMBS' eh??
I think it's way past time the USAF changed their proceedures of engaging 'The enemy'. |

It has happened a few times but a lot of people blow it out of proportion, there was a British documentary a little while ago. I don't know if it was shown in the US. Basically it was this British reporter who followed members of B Company of 1st battalion the Royal Anglian Regiment (my future regt. =D). And the guys there were saying like everyone thinks that the US kills Brits all the time, but really our boys on the ground are very grateful for the USAF's air support. Ironically, three of their own guys were killed by US bombs and two seriously injured. |

Yes, and your own. In the first Gulf war US forces killed more British forces than the enemy. Sad but true. War is never good, let alone perfect. That said, what the Hell are we hoping to achieve in the Gulf? If we "win" how are our lives going to any better for it? It's not as if they invaded our home lands; in fact attacks on us only occured after we attacked them in the name of I'm not quite sure what. |

No! No fire can be FRIENDLY, especially if it's incoming. Bombs, bullets, rockets etc., don't disrimainate when they land. They still kill or maime, regardless of who fired them. Just wish the terrorists did it to themselves a lot more often. |

Not since the Revolution and the war of 1812.
It's not too friendly if you are the one who gets shot by your own side.
Many North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) militaries refer to such incidents as "blue on blue" |

For some reason you hear more about Americans doing "friendly fire".
I think Americans killed more Brits than the Iraqi's.
Of course if you believe everything you see on the news you believe the Iraqi's were only armed with rocks.
So to answer your question YES and YES.. |
