Bring all American service men and women home, and let the Iriqis go to it. |

I think ALL troops should leave Iraq and let them become one big heap of rubble and impoverished, insane humanity. I applaud Major for pulling his troops. We in American should have a leader as wise!!! |

Hold on a sec,
America didn't start this war alone, the U.K. helped.
I do commend what the U.K. is doing. Look at the Iraqi President's response to U.K. troops beginning to pull out.
Maybe there is a chance that American's will follow suit. |

Yes, I agree with you.
The only downside for me, is that Blair will use the reduction of troops to aid his "legacy".
If they pull out all the troops before Brown becomes Prime Minister, the Government will be able to say, that the war is in the past and has nothing to do with Brown. |

I agree! I'm so glad they're pulling our troops but god knows how long it's gonna take!? |

I'm very glad they're coming home...but they've still got a way to go yet. I think ('cos I'm a cynic), that Blair has only done this so he can leave office on a better note.
Bring them all home now to their families. |

You think it's really going to happen? lol This is Tony Blair at his finest. It's all set-up to look like Tony is doing the right thing before he retires and pulling our brave lads out. He will then be remembered as the one who tried to finish what he started. The reality is that as soon as Gordon Brown is PM we'll hear that due to a number of 'incidents' it would be imprudent to remove them and in fact more should be sent. It's purely political theatre and how Tony Blair wants to be remembered. |

Yes I'm glad - The Iraq war is illegal and unjustified and our troops shouldn't be risking their lives fighting in a war they should never have been involved in.
Unfortunately it doesn't necessarily mean that they will all be coming home. I think a lot of them will be sent to Afghanistan, where the real war against terror is being fought. So it might be a case of "out of the frying pan, into the fire". |

i would have been happier if none went, but they did and all we can do is support anyone there!- we shoulda sent ninjas, or just assasins... it is a shame to leave right now though because it seems like we have just abandoned our (their) cause, thus making this war even more dispiccable! |

Yes this war was total US crap...But it was an effective training exercise for our boys and girls and will help our forces in the future... |

the british shouldn't leave, and we should be sending way more guys to get the job done and give the soldiers there some help! if we leave now it will be a disaster! Iran will find some way to run it, they will have all oil control over there, and we will be paying $12.00 a gallon for gas, plus way more for goods because the shipping costs of everything will be tremendous! nobody will be able to afford to do anything! |

When the major countries of the world are crying because their economies are falling apart because of terrorist controlled oil, they will ask America to help. I hope we have enough reserves to tell them to bugg off. The european appeasers are at it again, bringing on another world war because they are gutless. |

Don't Worry....the amount of Extra SAS troops that will have to accompany Mr Wales on his " coming of age " PR trip to Iraq .will replace the ones coming home for Leave ! . the Mad Mullahs must be Shi'ite'n
themselves... How on earth can a wee toe-rag like Harry ..do a Part Time course at Sandhurst - then all of a sudden be a born leader of Combat Troops.? He must want to impress Major Hewitt. |

I think just a few are leaving. the majority of the rest will have to stay!.. I feel that our troops should stay along with the Americans until the job is done,, an half done job usually means you ll have to do it twice .. |

Iraq is a sh*t hole of a country with a population made up of 10% murdering, fanatical, religious fools who are stuck in the middle ages quite happy to kill anyone including themselves and 90% ordinary people just wanting to get on with their lives too scared to inform on the murders for fear of reprisals. Hey why not get rid of one tyrannical leader and abandon these people before they can find their feet again so that Iran can turn it into a festering pot of west hating evil. When the prime minister of Iran publicly states Israel should be wiped off the face of the earth and that the west is full of infidels surely something should be done? Well in your eyes maybe not i mean its not as if they have a nuke to use is it.So great! every ones happy the troops are coming home.I wonder if the troops are happy they might not get to finish the job you know the one 100+ have died trying to achieve. There is always a bigger picture to consider. |

There isn't a doubt in my mind every American will be glad when our troops finally come home from the Mid-Eastern shredder. No one wanted to see them go in the first place, no country wants to "have" to go to war for it is not a glorius thing to do period, but it is the way of the world- a world ruled by the most aggresive, trouble causing animal of them all, Man. But when the men and women of our forces come home, let's try to do our best to mend them for they will discretely carry unseen wounds rather than not associate with them because we 'do not agree' with what they HAD to do. |
