Gordon Brown is in the papers today trying to promote armed forces day, fly the flag he says.
well i would if i could get hold of one, i have sent 3 emails to the website asking about promotional stuff, no replies.
I have contacvted the local council and the events organiser about flags and he does not know anything about flags being sold for £10. h e even admitted that he thinks they are promoting BEFORE they have done the leg work on it.
Do you think the day is being promoted enough?
So the question is does ANYONE know were i can get an armed forces flag to fly for the actual day of 27/6/09, we are trying to get the school to fly one. any help would be appreciated.

i would like to say that this also a veterans day stump; so maybe you would have preferred to speak german, or were none of your family members involved in either of the world wars?

As a serving soldier i think it is long overdue, we are the but few of the countries who do not acknowledge their service personnel past and present with their own represented day.
Us lads servin dont want the slap on the back, but those of us who have been there done that know there is too many good men lost, and its their lives lost that deserve the respect.
one day is not a lot to ask for.
