Army Ged? Are they accepting them right now?

I'm 19 year old male, I have no felonies or any kinda record, up to this point in my life i've jus been working and studying for my ged which I earned last month... also i'm interested in combat mos

you can join the army with a GED if and only if you receive a 50 or above when you take the ASVAB. if you can do that you can join, a 49 below and you wont be able to. good luck

The quota for GED applicants has dropped with the Army meeting it's recruiting and retention goals. That said they still do accept some GED holders (best to get a high score on the ASVAB). Your other option is to get 15 college credits to go along with your GED - then you have the equivalent of a high school diploma.

of course any Branch of the military is accepting ged's or high school diplomas. women can not choose infantry as a MOS, but can choose a similar MOS like military police

As far as I know, army always has accepted GEDs I knew people with GEDS who joined not too long ago.


And my recruiter told me marines do NOT accept GEDs
