I've seen people on base with anti-Bush or anti-war bumper stickers. Your husband can not get in trouble for something that you have on your car. Most people would probably agree with the bumper stickers, but for the few who don't, you may only have one or two idiots that might even have the nerve to say something to you. The question is, are you strong enough to defend your beliefs against idiots? Would it bother you to get any unwanted attention? If not, go for it. |

They are not offensive and I agree with you that they are witty. |

You may not get your husband in trouble, but he will probably lose friends. Please don't put them on your car. |

You're right to be worried. Both stickers are probably too offensive for a car you'll keep on a military post.
You can put them on your car if you want, but expect some people to be very upset with you about them, because they are direct insults.
The first is an insult to anyone the many Bush supporters with well reasoned political positions. The second is probably the most offensive to servicemen. |

we are in a dictatorship now, of course, since bush has suspended habeus corpus, but we don't have to act like we're in one.
it is absolutely NOT the duty of military people to support an idiot president. it is certainly the duty of military people to NOT support a criminal president, which is what we've got now.
of course your stickers are not too much. it's sad that we have to remind people of these things, but we do. i like your stickers.
i'm a daughter of a career navy guy. here're my bumper stickers: bush deserves a fair trial, religious fanatics are scary in any country, human milk for human babies, remember when the only red states were in the soviet union, whom would jesus bomb?, better a bleeding heart than no heart at all, just pretend it's all okay (on magnetic flag ribbon), work for peace (ditto), bring the troops home now, treat your child as you'd like to be treated, day care is harmful to babies and other living things, and your silence will not protect you.
(we can always quickly find our car!) |

No. And I am a veteran of two wars. Desert storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom II. Where can I get these bumber stickers. |

I am in the Army. I do not think either is offensive. If anyone tells you differently, tell them they are wound too tight. |

The second one might offend fewer people. The first one might result in damage to your car.
Personally I like them both, though. |

They are not really too offensive, even to a Bush & Iraq supporter like me, but on a Military Base it will be frowned upon and may even get you into trouble. Because on a base you'd be expected to fully support the military. |

As a veteran I find the first extremely offensive. Think about that statement and the repercussions to any country with that philosophy. I do believe that we have an all volunteer Armed Forces. If you sign up and are not smart enough to know that you may have go in harms way, you are not smart enough to be out after dark by yourself! |

no! Put them on sister, most of the soldiers feel the same way! |

I wouldn't put them on my car if I lived on a military base. |

Since your husband is active military, don't place either on your car. Your husband's CO would NOT be amused.
They'd both be considered as government leadership-bashing. The military duty is to uphold the values of the current President and government, regardless of the views of the individual soldier. |

How Liberal is your post and is it in the South ? If it is they may be abit much . Sneak them onto someone else's car and watch the reaction .
I like them , they are the truth . |

I wouldn't. |

The weird thing about the truth is that it always offends someone!
With that said,I love the first one but I'm not too sure about the second one....... |

Nice stickers, but they are right. I wouldnt put them on the car, especially if the hubby will drive it.
You must be careful what is put on the cars, i had a BLUNT (clothing brand) sticker on my dads car, he got in trouble. I knew an airman who had a Rage Against the Machine sticker on her back window, he got into trouble. |

They are politically incorrect on a military base. |

Active duty MP here...yes offensive....and depending on the commaders policey they may be against Reg's. |

It is in bad taste on a military base. |

I like the first one. It makes sense. Support the troops. Bring them home. |

someone is going to find it offensive. You will get many horn honks and obscene gestures. You husband will be called into his commander's office (they won't be able to do anything, but they'll still yell at him. |

I am a military wife and I live on a base. Although I completely agree with you and your need/want to put them on your car (believe me I would want to too), I think that you or your husband would be asked to remove them once the right/wrong person saw them. It could quite possibly cause some problems with those die hard, go president people as well.
Good Luck....We have a leader who can lead us through whatever crap he got us into....Help us all! |

For one the blind faith sticker will get him in serious doo doo. he could and probably be charged with conduct unbecoming a solider.. which means he'd get kicked out of the service.. dishonorable discharge = not even McDonald's will hire him, not to mention you'd probably get divorced over it. Not to mention the disgrace you'd bring upon your family.. remember it's the military YOU CAN GET IN TROUBLE FOR TALKING TO LOUD ABOUT YOUR IDEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or they may charge him with TREASON!!!! the sticker said not patriotic?? It brings into question his loyalty to his leaders and government.. the president IS his BOSS...COMMAND IN CHIEF??? ring a bell??Two the rapture thing same scenario.. questioning authority.. Hey I'm all for freedom of speech ,, but you don't have it in the military.. I know I served for 10 years!! |

They're funny, but I wouldn't do it just for the one day that hubby's car broke down and he had to drive to work, in uniform, in my car. Depending on his chain of command, how seriously they take themselves, and his rank and relationship with his superiors, he could probably get in trouble for it. |
|

no i would put them on my car |

I know you didn't ask for our opinions on the content, but I think they are both great! The first is VERY true, and it is supposedly an axiom of our government--but that was 100s of years ago.....
The second one is LOL funny!!!
But, I really think that you should refrain from putting them on your car on a military base. Your husband (and YOU, children, etc.) could get some flak for that kind of thing. In fact, I'd bet there's a broken car window and some raised fingers in there somewhere.
Of course, you know, you're not supposed to think if you are in the military. (How could our country ever have enough young men willing to die if we allowed thinking????) "Military Intelligence" is an oxymoron, or so the old joke goes.
God Bless you both--hope you get out soon, safe and healthy! |

You have the right to free speech. Yes, they may offend people, but the Constitution protects offensive speech, especially. Just be aware of what some offended parties may do as a result. If you share a vehicle, the situation may be iffy. Do you want to get your husband in trouble for your own views? Have you discussed these stickers with your husband? |
|

I would say that they would be highly offensive on a military base |
