Army boot camp, your time in it?
Find answers to your legal question.

Army boot camp, your time in it?

remembering the time you spent in boot camp. that first day-night? was it hard for you? everything you had to endure through it all? glad when it ended?

I have a very close friend who went into the Marines, boot camp was hell. No matter how strong a guy is, no matter how intimidating, what race, what personality, he's gonna get beat up, he's gonna get degraded.

Obviously glad when it ended. He had a knee injury from high school that resurfaced after boot camp so he wound up with a desk job at a military base, but it was worth it because he knows it's prepared him for endurance even in non-military endeavors.

Expect the best, prepare for the worst. It's hell, plain and simple. No matter which branch of service you go into.

Army Basic for me was 18 weeks long (OSUT)... First week was filled with unknown.
4th week, was more like why am I here???
5th week was to prove everyone wrong
And was very glad it was over 4.5 months later. But would love to do it again

I went to boot camp in the Navy, probably not as hard as army. While there it was hard but they do everything they can to make the transition to military life as easy as possible. Now I look back on it (that was 1974) I really did have a lot of fun.
