Attending college before navy?

I am a senior in highschool and i was wondering if my ship out date for navy isnt till december or january, and i grad from highschool in june . can i attend college after highschool until my ship out date? and would i get bouns for that or not? what id i dont finish the classes do they give you it still for the hours? thanks

You can go to school, but the term (or semester) usually doesn't start until September, so you would be obtaining 12 credits (maybe a few more) and that's not enough to be promoted. You must finish the classes to receive credit for them.

But I would go ahead and do it. Gives you something to do, and will help keep your nose clean until you ship out. The credits can always be applied toward your degree, and you can finish up you degree while you're in the Navy with tuition assistance and what not.
