Avoiding being shipped overseas for now?

I live in PA and I read somewhere that all the Marine Reserve Units in PA will be shipping overseas soon and that they won't be shipping again for at least five years. Could someone tell me if this is true. I'm a senior in High School and I was hoping to go split option for this and next summer while I went to college. Does this mean that If I were to ship out then I wouldn't be doing so until after college?

No one can tell you with any degree of certainty what the deployment cycle for any unit will be five years out. Don't join if you aren't willing to deploy when needed.
