It actually made me want to reenlist, maybe this time instead of deploying me to iraq fighting for who knows what. I can go to Afghanistan and help find osama bin laden.... you know ...... the guy responsible for the towers. just thought maybe you forgot with all the lies bush told...... WMD what WMD's ????? |

Whatever happened to serving your country? It'd be dandy if people really were allowed to do that - it'd filter a lot of poorly motivated undesirables out of the military.
Your candidate lost the election. Have your little sook, harden up and do better next time. If your decision to serve the military depends on who's in office, you have no business being in the armed forces. Kindly remove yourself at the earliest convenience. |

If I was not willing to accept the people's decision, I Would never have taken the Oath to begin with. |

He's hardly the first president who didn't serve in the military. Get over it. |

You have to have pretty shallow reasons for serving if you quit because your guy or your party didn't win the election. Service in the military to me is about service to my country period. I've been in since Regan was president and have stuck through everyone since and am proud of that service. |

Since I helped vote him in I suppose I will stay right here. I agree with the post that states I dont work for the Pres but the People. 10 yrs in I have never meet a president yet. But I have meet thousands of outstanding Americans who thanked me for serving my COUNTRY!!!! |

I can't believe I served with a such a bunch of selfish whiner losers. Your oath means absolutely nothing and you don't deserve to be in any service to the country if you are doing it for selfish reasons. I wouldn't be surprised if you one of you Obama haters is busy writing another Turner Diaries or giving aid and comfort to the enemy by smoking crack or weed. You didn't have enough votes and you lost..man up and get over it. Look on the bright side, it may soon be possible for all you guys from Deliverance to get married thanks to the new President. Matter of fact, most of this country's presidents did not serve in the military and our last one was an AWOL silver spoon in his mouth, coward, but you served anyway. |

SFC Olli... you don't serve a President you serve the people of the US and protect and defend the Constitution. Of course you did get out in time so you did not have to serve under a President who as an officer went AWOL. |

Why would you feel that you wouldn't serve because Obama is Pres? What has this man done to you for you to disrespect him so much? The American people voted him in and we as military personnel are obligated to serve as needed. I served under Nixon and he was a total sleaze ball as far as being Pres. But I did my duty and served my country and am damn proud of it. You sound like a total malcontent. |

I decided to Retire when I still had 2 years on an Enlistment when President Clinton took over. I was going to stay for 24 or more years but retired with 22. I had a problem with my CIC being a draft dodger. So I wouldn't blame anyone for leaving today.

Honestly, the fact that Bush was President kept me from going back into military service. While I would be honored to serve my Country again, I could not have him as my Commander In Chief.
As far as Mr. Obama, I have no qualms.
He's not about to put us in harm's way for no good reason. |

I wish i could. I will not reenlist for any reason. Good luck. |
