After 24 years and 32 countries. I have found that the jobs that were the most fun were the ones where there were a few people making a big difference. Any job that you get into in the Marines can have this impact. As for pay the bonuses in one job today will go to a different job tomorrow (hard to chase the money.)
Figure if you want to work inside or outside. I could say that being a Marine martial arts instructor trainer, 8552, is the best job and you are more inclined to cooking or writing. Look at all the jobs and the one that sounds the most fun pick that that one. If while you are in you find you don't like it, apply for a lateral move to a field you have been exposed to that you do like. Here are a couple that I would recommend if I was starting all over:

1. Crash fire rescue
2. EOD
3. MP (dog handler)
4. Parachute rigger
5. Infantry
6. Sniper
7. aircraft mech
8. Air crew
9. Linguist
10.supply (just kidding) Apply for marsoc (you can do it from any MOS now)

Hope this helps. One piece of info, if you are trying to make the more money, go to college and get your degree. There are a ton of ways to get commissioned as an officer both before you join, or from the enlisted ranks. If you are trying to get rich...don't join the military!

They all pay the same based on your rank and time in grade. Any of them can be "fun" if you want them to.

It depends. Besides by rank and grade, certain jobs do get hazardous pay when you conduct the those tasks that are considered hazardous (ie, if you were a airborne delivery specialist and you had to jump by parachute then you'll get some extra hazardous pay) in addition to your salary.
