i totally agree with Michael however, Israel has some insane Special Forces, although they usually use American or Israeli hardware.

think about it...will all the technology we have....and all the wars we have been just in the past 10 years (practice for our soldiers and sailors) who do you think is number 1?

1: Depends what sort of war you are talking about. Conventional warfare then it would be the US but with irregular warfare it is the likes of the British and the French who have more experience with it.
2: Sorry but the US do not win this one. That title tends to belong to small defence forces like the Irish or Swiss.
3: Israel.

Within 24 to 48 hours the United States can have an entire Regiment on the ground pretty much anywhere on the planet. Either Marines, or Army Airborne. Its not unreasonable to see an entire division within the first 3-4 days, week at most. The toughest things to move is the Armor.

The US Armed Forces are generally considered one of the best in the world. If not the best.

I would say that the US has the best overall. But I would like to give credit to the Royal British Marines and SAS. Also, Russian (Estonian, Chezch and Ukrainian) Spetznatz are highly regarded, especially by the US.

well not to sound like an ignorant gung ho type person, but the answer to all three questions is the United States...i've trained with several operations that are very capable, but the training recieved by US soldiers is far more comprehensive than any other nation i've seen...most have trouble with the finances of keeping a standing military and training and paying the salary of people on a day to day basis. isreal has very good pilots and special forces, but since most of their military budget goes to paying for those people to be trained, the mostly drafted military they have is low quality, not to say bad, but not professional fighters. other countries like russia have very capable technology but lack the money to give their pilots flight training, most of them get their flight training and certifications in smaller cheaper aircraft and only spend a few hours a year in actual combat aircraft they're assigned to.

1. USA by far. By very, very far.
2. USA by far. Best technology leads directly to better training.
3. USA, Britain and Israel all have tops. But in the end it would have to be USA (most likely to have a special operations force that is even more secret than anybody else. that and CIA groups and whatnot).

Let's see hmmm. 3 snipers from Devgru/ Seal team six make 3 head shots of a Navy vessel at night with choppy water. I'd say us.
