Whilst i agree entirely with whta Paul D says and also my esteemed an learned answerer AlG. Paul this young man is actually taking about guards as in barrack guards! Not which guards regiment to join! That is also what Al G's "oh dear" is for

I think the "Oh Dear" is because just about every soldier in the British Army hates guard duty. Back on topic though, the Guards regiments all recruit from different areas of the UK, so you should take that into account when you make your decision. Who is the best? In my experience most regiments believee that they are the best at what they do, but in reality there isn't much difference. However, regiments can go through highs and lows depending on a few key personalities at the time (ie Comanding Officer, RSM, Squadron/Company Commander to name a few) |

They are all pretty equal. Not one is better than the other. They all hold great battle honours, but I believe the Scotch Guards do hold the most battle honours. |

coldstream guards, second to none ;)
allthough all of the guards regiments do their job very well whether its on the frontline in aghanistan or looking pretty in a sentry box they are the worlds finest infantry. |
