yes at some places like moto motorway services & the burger king at moto services just show id card at them ( normal burger king does not though) AA will give you a discount but generally with them you can get a better deal other ways,

sons ask for a forces discount on just about every thing they order or buy its surprising who will & you have nothing to lose by asking its just like asking for discount for cash,
by the way its better that you dont mention you are a soldier if you go to a night club they get a bit funny frightened some 1 might get hurt,
