ok so i got selection next month and i started runing everyday but i got ankle pains they have only just came on sholud i keep runing with the ankle pains or rust until pain has gone ? plus the 1.5 mile run at selection can u not stop at all when runing ?

Stop for the 1.5M? You don't have time to stop, you have to do it in 10:30mins. |

i had the ankle pains and it needs rest and will only get worse if you keep running. eventualy you will do a stress fracture.
you need running trainers, and dont run every day. |

id give the running a break fore a week
when you do the the run one of the instructors will run it with you all just don't get behind him |

i had the same problem last week. i got a knee support which help recovery time alot there only about 5quid. stop running it will make it worse, trust me i tried. you can do other exercise though like cycling.
its only 1.5 miles you dont want to stop because its to easy espically the time the army gives you to do it in, if your fit it should just be a jog.
but yes you can stop lol |

dont run on your sore ankles you could do damage, as someone said below RICE is what you need to do. it depends on what you are trying to go into i passed mine to get into the TA and i think the limit was 14 mins, im not massivley fit and i did it in around 11:30 and i was just at a slowish jog. i dont know what the time is for the regs could be around 10-11 mins but you shouldnt have to push yourself that hard to complete it but theres not really time to stop just pace yourself a moderate jog will do |
