My friend and I are enlisting in the navy...I want to leave at the end of the summer....because im not doing anything right now and i just move back in with my parents. My mom says i need to do something by the time fall comes. I cant go back to college because i cant get any assistance because parents make too much money and i am still classified as a dependent. Im looking for a job but still no luck, thats when they suggested navy and i been thinking about it so i decided to. Now my friend wants to go but she has to go to college because she was home schooled. I told her to do summer sessions and just pay the 900 for the classes (she has the money to do it) but she wants to go through financial aid and all that because she dont wanna work (we have to work in navy she need to get over it) I dont want to leave her behind but i dont want to wait til January and live off my mom that long. Should i just leave her..............

Thanks, yea thats another reason i want to leave now...I cant even handle tx winter (cold fronts) no way i will be able to handle weather in the negatives.....i told her im gonna leave and maybe we will get stationed together..

Ask yourself this question.
What is more important, hanging out with my friends or getting a start on my life and career?
You have to make the decision, going with your friend would be fun but if it won't work it won't work. You can both still go in, and you will still be friends. Right? I'm leaving this Tuesday alone.

I would leave for a number of reasons
1) its better to start making money, then being supported by someone else
2) I was told by many people that went through navy boot camp that its hellish in the fall, and winter months weather wise. |
