Bulling my perade boots, the shine fades?

Kiwi Parade Gloss fades quickly, so don't use that. It's only good for one thing- just before a parade. Looks great for about an hour. Ordinary Kiwi polish is as good as it gets.

Sad fact is you have to keep doing it. Every day, at least two layers. Leaving it for more than a day isn't an option and I'm surprised your boots haven't been chucked out of the window or rubbed with sandpaper.

There are no shortcuts. Oh, apart from Klear floor polish...

Just go over the top with the usual Kiwi stuff, no need to do anything fancy with it. If you've got plenty of time and patience you can always brush over the bulled caps so most of the old polish comes off and start again. It will take more time but depends on how much time you can afford to spend.

Also, vary your technique. Sometimes I used to find a Selvyt cloth the best way to apply polish. Then sometimes I'd find it wasn't working so well and switched to cotton wool. Then I'd find it best to use a very soft yellow duster. Vary your technique and you might find it a little easier.

If you smoke, don't use spit, use water as you've been doing. Breathe on the polish as you're lightly polishing over it, it keeps it moist but the water is very fine.

Try some neutral kiwi and then a good heavy coat of black burn it with a lighter and again with neutral. Lightly rub at the end or finish of the spit shine process. Maybe its the kind of boot you have. Keep a pair just for parades and another for field exercises, Garrison, etc. The pair for the parades should be either jump boots or jungle boots they shine the best! Never use the stuff that coats on like a glue or stain looks like crap.

before you wear them you need to give them a quick going over with a miniscule amount of polish and it brings the shine back up, also, keep them somewhere cool.
You don't need to get rid of the polish thats on there, just add another thin layer and they'll be fine

What i do is get one of those yellow duster cloths. dab the cloth onto your tongue once or twice. then put some kiwi parade gloss onto it. don't go crazy with the polish though. if you keep doing this for a few hours you will only need the smallest amount of polish. i use this method and it works very well. same as Sam says but instead of the parade gloss use browne tan at the end sounds stupid but it makes the shine stand out more and lasts longer whatever you do dont use spit

Firstly, its probably best to strip the shoe of excess polish, this will provide you with a blank canvas. Its a lot of work unfortunately, but gives better results in the long run! Ultimately thats up to you however.

If you choose to, pour boiling water over the shoe to strip it of polish.

To get a good finish grab cotton wool and bull the shoe, until the excess water and polish have resolified and have been bulled up. Now,

Begin by building up a base of regular Kiwi shoe polish.

Secondly, add Guardsman gloss to the boot to build up a shiny finish.

Finally, i find that using an ordinary duster is to rough and scratches the smooth finish, use cotton wool or a proper shoe cloth throughout!
