I figure that there would be a lot of fired Generals unless they quit first. I am sure she will find a few she can bully. Because most will tell her when she is wrong.
But then again that is IF not WHEN. |

Withstand the American Army? What would they do, go back on their oath and state a coup? |

Better question is can they withstand her. But I'm confident it will not be a problem as she is not going to win. |

Hmm? As Commander and Chief of the United States Armed Forces Ms. Clinton, if elected, would not have to "withstand" the Army she would command them.
Short of a coup (uprising) by the armed forces, something that has never occurred in US history (the civil war was political 1st then military) she / we should be OK. |

She will gut the military just like Dems normally do and we will be more at risk from terrorists. That's why terrorist countries want her elected. |

According to her platform, alot of them may be looking for work if shes elected. |

As much as it pains me to admit this, sometimes drawing dawn the military is good, for a couple of reasons:
1) tightened standards-they require less waivers, better ASVAB scores.
2) Tightened Promotion standards.-Leading to a top notch NCO corp
Some bad things that happen during a draw down
1) Less money for training
2) Deteriorating equipment
3) Less big ticket Items(Helicopters, tanks, etc)
and lets not forget being able to fight 2 wars at the same time. Really Hillary cannot violate that. We must be able to fight 2 wars at once its mandate by congress and signed in to Law exactly how many divisions and such the Military must maintain. She will have to get congress onboard with her to change that.
Really since Bill's draw down there really hasn't been a "draw up" so if she does we are only going to shrink the military smaller than what it was prior to Bill Leaving office. |

Given that her husband built it into the powerful force that rolled over Iraq in 2003, I don't see why they shouldn't cooperate fully with her as well.
If you doubt this, keep in mind that the Bush-Cheney military appropriations bill didn't even start to kick in until October 2002, hardly enough time to build, train and equip the January 2003 army on their own.
Furthermore, her husband is still respected and admired in many parts of the globe, and this should also make her mission, and the USA's mission, a lot easier in some geographic regions. The Clinton name might be besmirched here, but it sure isn't around the world, and that's a fact you can take to the bank.
Besides, the US military has thus far proven to be admirably non-political, as long as it gets the new toys it wants. And I don't suspect that Hillary is going to deny the military most of what it wants. Her husband never did.
The last general to get overtly political was rightly canned on the spot by Truman. |

"..when she gets into power.."
I have great doubts that Hillary will be able to maintain her facade until Nov. At some point she will have a meltdown of some sort and blow it. This spat she is having with Obama could heavily damage her with Black voters. Without them, she doesn't have a snowball's chance. |

I must admit that she has the most firsthand WHITE HOUSE experience than anyone running for President. Keep that in mind.... |

IF she gets in. I think she will downsize and fire a lot of guys. She's a b****. |

What do you mean by "withstand?" I think she'd be very successful and handling the mess being handed to her. She's a very capable and intelligent person; it will be a nice change to have these qualities in a president again. |

Democrats have a history of firing competent generals and replacing them with 'yes men' when the hold the Presidency.
Look at the generals her husband got rid of and how their chosen replacement (Wesley Clark) nearly started a war with Russia through sheer incompetence. |
