Can I Get An EMT Job With A General Discharge?

I was in the Air Force for a year in a half. My suit mate ended up leaving his proscription pills in my room one night. I have all the evidence saying he did and that i did not take them or sell them or anything like that. Long story short i ended up getting a General Under Honorable Discharge. I am REALLY worried I wont be able to go to EMT school cause of it. I have NEVER done any drugs in my life nor have a got in any other trouble befor that. Can anyone help me with good answers? Please and thank you

No, you will be fine to go to EMT school. You could get your certificate at a community college and be a certified EMT if you wanted. OR if your MOS specialty was medical you might already be certified. But what happens in the military (that particular situation stays in the military). You should have no worries. You will be fine. And even if you get drug tested once you land a EMT job, you will piss clean right, since you don't do drugs! You will be able to get into EMT school.
They don't ask for explanations of a general discharge, the only way they ask for it is if it is Dishonorable. |

You Will Be Okay, it will not hurt you or affect you in becoming a EMT, the one and only thing that you hurt you is a Dishonorable or Other than Honorable. You will not be able to be you vet points on civil service test, that the only thing that will happen |
