Can I get in the military if......?

I had a nissen fundoplication as a child. Basically the sewed part of my stomach to my esophagus so i cannot vomit. I had this done as a child and have never had any health problems dealing with it. I mean i have played many sports in high school and it never was a problem. I figure if someone here could let me know so I don't have to deal with a recruiter calling me 24/7.

there is nothing in the DoD regulations concerning what you had done. but you should mention it and at least have it reviewed. Good luck.

Yes you can join the military.

But if you are not sure 100% that is what you want to do. And realize you cannot later change your mind or argue your way out of deployment tell the recruiter to get lost. You can always call them later on your own accord.

Don't listen to Dot...he is so dumb and do not understand what the military even does. Yes your condition is fine. The more serious conditions such as heart and brain are more on a case by case basis. Which branch are you looking into?? I

Yes you can join up.

but once your in you can`t change your mind when the going get tough (which it will at some point)
