ok, i just ran today and i ran 1.5 miles in 11:26. its not great but it was 90 degrees and half of it was uphill, i go to enlist for navy next monday, should i be worried about basic training? i can do 46 pushups in 30 secs, and can do the 55 situps in about 45, and i also have asthma, woops, i know its a disqualifying condition but i have no big problems with it after i run, and i only have an issue when i run. so do you think i can make it through basic?

if you practice pushups you can do 46 in 30 seconds, control your breathing and just keep pushing, you can do 1 pushup quicker than a second

I am going give you a pass on your PT stats and ask you this, when is the last time you have had a problem with you asthma? I was born with asthma and it was pretty bad until I hit about 8 years old. I had an attack that had me home ridden for about a week . I was a little weaker , but , I recovered. Later in life, I had decided on joining the Navy and contacted a recruiter . I informed him of my situation and my medical past and he explained that they have a problem with the disorder after 13 years of age. I enlisted and retired 20 years later. |

No. No one has ever made it through basic training, they all fail at the end and they just take you anyway...

You cannot do 46 pushups in 30 seconds. your lieing otherwise you wouldnt be asking this question. thats not even in the realm of possibility

Talk to your recruiter about your asthma, as for your PRT stats, they're fine. Thing people don't realize is when you do your run in Navy basic, its indoors, on a very narrow track with a wicked tight turns. |
