Found this in the Navy Regs:
i. NAVETs discharged in paygrade E-3 cannot have more than six years broken service. To meet high year tenure (HYT) constraints, E-3s who cannot provide proof of passing an E-4 advancement exam must have two or less years of prior
service to enlist. E-3s with documentation of having passed an advancement exam must have four or less years of prior service to enlist.
j. NAVETs discharged in paygrades E-4 through E-6 cannot have more than five years broken service.
k. NAVETs accessed in paygrade E-4 must have six or less years of prior service to enlist. NAVETs accessing in paygrade E-5 must have 8 or less years of prior service. NAVETs accessing in paygrade E-6 must have 12 or less years of prior service. |

The Navy has a limited n umber of slots for prior service. If you can reenlist or not will depend on many things including the type of your discharge. Best to discuss with a recruiter. |

right now.. not not really.
One you have been out too long
2, they aren't taking PS unless you can go directly into an
Undermanned rating with no training
3. you don't say what your RE code is.. if it isn't a one, it ain't happening.
people are reporting having to wait a year or longer before getting back in. |

Sure ya can, as long your last enlistment didn't include a bar to service when you left.... I wouldnt worry about that unless you got a dishonorable though...
You'll probably have to go through basic again though... I believe 2 years is what they say there, anything over that, you gotta be retrained again
And of course, you have to meet the requirements for a new recruit.... your not over the max age now are you? |

Depends on your age, what job you did and what their needs are. I'm guessing they're happy to have people already with experience. Did you attend any more school since you got out? Maybe you can get an even better spot.
