You need to be more specific. If you mean do rangers take an arctic warfare course as part of ranger school to the best of my knowledge NO.
There are several phases of warfare for Rangers but for the most part (I say this loosely and cautiously) the entire military does not conduct and/or has abandoned arctic warfare training -- at least the US forces.
HOWEVER, that does not mean arctic warfare training does not exist... the royal navy has to train its soldiers in arctic warfare due to their geographic location. So if the Army offered such a training or if it was required for a joint effort then potentially, a Ranger could take the course -- but if I interpreted your question it seems more like "can a Ranger sign up for something interesting like this," as opposed to my YES answer after changing the question "would a ranger take a course like this in the course of their career?"
I would say this is not something any elite soldier can just sign up for based on the structure of the US armed forces as of today. |
