They'll be free, damn it, if we have to kill every one last of them. |

The insurgents seem to think they can effect political change by killing their own people. That is where most of those deaths come from |

You need an UPDATE.
That figure was proven wrong. It was a hoax.
I'm sure that it will make you unhappy to find out the truth. |

Again... a completely unfounded number where it is agreed by most all experts that that "total" is completely WRONG.
But the libs love to spout out that number because with it being so far above any other 'total' it can make the propaganda appear more powerful |

according to the group that came up with that figure, their own accounting I might add....they had a margin of error of +/- 200,000. And that is just what they were willing to admit. |

No.
But I think you already know that. |

Being that you've already formed your own opinion there's really no point in answering this question. So let me ask you somethings; How innocent are people that use woman and children to plant IED's? How innocent are people that will strap explosives to dogs, cats, and donkeys then set the animals loose on the streets with no regard for who they end up killing? I think you need to take a better look at your definition of "innocent". |

I think they're mad as heck that their own people are killing them! Don't you think that the Kurds that Saddam committed genocide to and put in mass graves have families that are mad as heck? Now his loyalists are continuing since he can't! |

Stupid question.
I take it you did not notice that this "study" was conducted by the same people who published the bogus study that claimed 100,000 people were killed as of two years ago?
And just like last time they published the study immediately prior to an election?
Are you really this naive? |

When you show your facts on the amount of people killed in Iraq then you might get good answers to your question.
If you are just going to state your opinion on the amount of deaths then you wont.
The number that you show is about 1/12 of the population of Iraq and I have not seen anywhere other than a rag sheet state that is the number that has been killed in Iraq. |

innocent? Which ones were innocents, and which ones had guns or rockets in their hands and closets? |

i would dearly love to see 655,000 innocent people. then my life would be complete |

The terrorists gleefully hide amongst the "innocents", genius. The terrorists gleefully carbomb and slaughter the "innocents", genius.
Turn off that Air America idiocy, dust off that history book and learn some actual history of the collateral horrors of warfare, genius. Compare the collateral damage of WWII to that of today, genius. |

Invasion and occupation of a country will always lead to problems. When you start killing the retaliation will always start.
This is the way it is. Nobody really asked the Iraqi's wanted to be liberated. |

To Montaviou the are over 19,00 Amreicans mudured each year in this country thats over 52 a day how many more must be mudured before YOU start paying attention. |

Yes, and it will probably lose another few hundred thousand before the killing stops...
And I seriously doubt that all those civilians were innocent... |
|

chrismarmymp

You have to look at both sides...Yes Iam admitting that some or many people who are innocent die everyday.....but to me a person with a weapon is a threat to me and my follow unit members....these people in Iraq use innocent people to hide behind...I personally dont have time to ask them which side they are on...Would you?....Iam very sorry that innocent people die....but if that brings home one of my brothers to his Mom iN GA ...THAN SO BE IT....If dont think I lose sleep every night than you would be wrong |
|

Why dont you ask about the thousands and then some of the people that have died in the US.who gives a f*ck if they are liberated. They are killing our troops, there is no way to see a difference between a civilian and a iraqi bad guy so hell blow them all up. Just bring out troops home. |

Sure. Look how successful forcing democracy on people by pointing weapons at people has been in the past... |

Well, I guess there is a certain amount of liberation in being dead. You've been liberated from your physical body. If you'll notice, Iraqis weren't dying on a widespread daily basis prior to the American invasion. Not that Saddam Hussein was some great guy or anything...but, then again, neither are a lot of other dictators of countries that America didn't invade. |
|

zimdoomdoomdoom

I would not call it liberated. I would call it occupied by a new dictator that actually has weapons of mass destruction. |

It hasn't |

So now we're arguing over the numbers accuracy? Lets say they're WAY off, and its half that, 327,000 killed civilians. How in any way does that make it justifiable. Not to mention the 96 US Service men and women killed in this month alone. I'd like to know from these responders that say the numbers are wrong, what is an acceptable number to you, before you start worrying? |

655,000 Iraqi dead, 3000 Americans dead, many, many more wounded and not counted on both sides. All for a war based on a lie that George Bush has told. I think both sides of the ocean ought to be mad as hell, at our government. |

I know that if armed brutes started killing off my family and friends, I would be pissed off royally, and probably even go as far as extremism. No one likes to be killed and this war is not for thier liberation, the only freedom that is happening over there is George W. and his crownies liberating Iraqi oil. |
|

What a great question!
I don't know about liberating a country by mass murder, but I think the BushRummy War was all about liberating the oil in the ground from those mean Iraqis. That and liberating Halliburton, Exxon, and Boeing from only moderate profits. Bush really knows how to liberate things (if not people)! |
