Can i get off probation to join da army if i dont have defered probation!?

im now on a year's probation and i heard that you can get off if i just
do everything they tell me to do early so i can join da army!
but i dont have defered probation!
so can it still work or not?

Technically, the court system is not allowed to erase or defer a judgment due to future military service. It is against the law to do that. However, talk to a recruiter. Sometimes they know people who can get things done at the court house.
BUT!!! Understand this!! If your recruiter helps you out, he has got to know that you are serious and you won't flake out. He also needs to know that you won't be a dirt bag in the Army. You have already lost the benefit of the doubt by being convicted. The first time the recruiter sees you, he's probably going to tell you to move out... he can't help. But, if you are persistent, he may go out on a limb for you. But like I said, you have to prove it to him. He'd be putting his butt on the line for you.

Ask your probation officer. Generally, they will know what kinds of military deferments or abatements are available if you select military service. Just understand that your choices will be limited as to what kinds of assignments you can get once you do join. Anything intelligence, SF (special forces), or anything with advanced training might be unavailable due to your conviction.

If your probation officer can't answer that question, your local recruiter can. Just be sure that you get everything IN WRITING before you sign anything.

no. you may not end probation early just to enlist.. that actually disqualifies you in the military's eyes . you would still have to wait until the probation would have ended anyway.

you can get off it early.. but if ANYTHING in the court documents mention the military you will be disqualified from enlisting.
