i will be in the navy, but i want to start off on the right track, if i lied to a recruiter, can i talk to him and apologize without getting in trouble. i havent signed contract or done my oath or anything. Not even MEPS, just first interview. I feel bad, its nothing that bad really, its fixable but i fear disqualification. I want to make it right. will they understand if i was not completely honest and want to make it right now??
please help, anybody with experience on this, or just a suggestion. THANK YOU.

Well lying to your recruiter is never a good thing. But you need to go back so he can fix the paperwork before you go to MEPS. |

hey if its not serious dont worry about it, but if you feel you need to just tell him he probably wont care or get mad, because remember hes making money off you joining so hes not gonna upset you, and if he does get another recruiter. ive lied to my recruiter and told him he dosent get mad and he was a drill sergeant for 6 years |

Recruiters almost encourage lying. They will say that things don't matter and will just turn into a headache at MEPS. This is just them being lazy. Be honest. You have time to correct it, so just go and tell him you want to revise your statement. That way, all your bases are covered. If he says its no big deal, tell him it is to you. Don't ever see a recruiter as your friend. They are just your doorway into service, you don't owe them anything but honesty. Stick up for yourself and be honest at all points, and you will get through MEPS just fine, and if anything comes up down the road, all your paperwork will be accurate and in order. |

Hard to say..... Do not know what you "lied" about..... Somethings are important and somethings are better just to forget about.....

I wouldn't do it; think about how many times the recruiter lied to YOU about something. ( You might not know it now, but later you will realize it). |
