Do i have an option to be enlisted and still finsh school at my current school? I am still in 10th grade but there supposed to be an ROTC program at my school soon. If im enlisted while still at my school do i go to basic training?

I want to also know how to become a Fighter Pilot.

As a high school senior, age 17 with parental consent, you can, indeed, join the Air Force DEP, provided you meet the Mental, Physical and Moral standards of the Air Force and can pass the ASVAB test with a sufficiently high score.
An Air Force recruiter can provide you with specific details. |

If you enlist while you're still in high school you'll simply be put into the Delayed Entry Program. You can't enlist until after your seventeenth birthday and with both parents consent. You would give the recruiters at MEPS a date which you can leave after (the sooner your date, the sooner you can leave). You leave for basic whenever the military asks you to after the date you select. |

You can enlist during your Senior year, after you turn 17, with parents consent.
You will be in Delayed Entry until you graduate. Then go to BMT.
AFJROTC is just a training program, it will teach you a lot of basics about the AF and military. You are not enlisted in the program and have no commitment after HS. If you complete two years of JROTC you may get to enter as an E-3.
To be a pilot, you must first have a college degree, preferably a technical degree. Complete one of the Commissioning programs, and be selected for flight school.

Yes, you can go to Basic Training over the Summer and get it over with. You don't half to but you can.
i suggest you do just to get it over with. The sooner the Better. |

Your not going to be a fighter pilot unless you are an officer and to be an officer you would have need to complete 4 years of college.
Everyone wants to be a fighter pilot and your going to have to spenda good amount of time as an officer before you can be one. |
