My son, who is active duty Army N.G., will be attending his brothers graduation from high school. Can he wear his Class A's to the graduation?

My son that is graduating has already done his basic training and will do his AIT after graduation. The high school they both attended is a "Memorial High School (to Veterans). Unfortunately the school seems to want to prevent any military acknowledment, especially any awards being given to those who enter the military. I'm hoping that by a public display of our support (i.e. his brother wearing a uniform to the graduation) at least there will be some support for the few who have decided to join the military.

Yes, they can say what they wish, but it is allowed. Really, he is suppose to wear it to weddings, funerals, everything dress. |

Yes he can. However, why would he wear it? I think it would be taking away the attention of your other son. If it was a military function, by all means I would say wear it! But it's not. Does your graduating son want him to wear it? If so, that would be reasonable. Also if your graduating son is going into the military it would be appropriate. |

If by active NG you mean he is a full time technician then no. If he is active and under command of the Dept of the Army yes. NG and Reservist are not allowed to wear the uniform except to military functions/training unless on federal active duty.
Then again who is going to stop him?
