NOT THE U.S. GOVERNMENT |

I see that others have asked the same question, which government ? If the question is regarding Hamas, the answer is yes. Hamas will prey on the ignorant youth who cling to their cause. They will encourage their youth to become suicide bombers. They will use the Koran as a recruiting tool, and their poor stupid youth will respond. |

Well the U.S. isn't at war in Palestine. Hamas will happily send you to fight however. Their age requirement is something like 5 years old and able to walk while wearing an explosive belt |

From a British Point of view, no, you can join at 16 but have to be 18 to be sent to an operational conflict Zone. |

no the US government will not send a 16 year old into a foreign country to fight. |
|

Gotta have more explosions!

International human rights law, humanitarian law and labour law supposedly restrict the conscription and otherwise deployment of children under the age of 15.
So yes, if a government really wanted to send 16 year olds to fight overseas, they'd be well entitled to assuming it didn't break their own laws. The British Army, for instance, can recruit 16 1/2 year olds, but not actually deploy them until they're 18. |
