Can women be marines?

That's the question. I know training with some of them that boot camp was pretty tough..tougher in the USMC.

You have to look within yourself, only you can answer this one! So it is up to you to answer for yourself and not do it for anyone else.

They can be marines, but not an active combat role. Combat support is about as close as they can get

ABSOLUTELY! You rock! I'm an Army officer, but I know a lot of Marines who are female, and I am very impressed with all of them. Consider finishing college first and come in as an officer. You will make much more money, and as motivated as you seem, we need you to become one of our leaders.

Absolutely, and not just in administrative or medical fields. There are women pilots, women engineers, etc.

The only place you won't find women is in the infantry.

Though I was not a marine, I was in the US Army for over 8 years and met several women marines in my career.

Good luck to you and do NOT let anyone tell you you can't because you are a woman.

Yes, they may. Anyone can aslong as there over the age over 18 & under the age of 40. Make sure your prepared for what your going in to. Good luck in the Marines if you decide to join! The Few, The Proud, The Marines!

Sure you can, like most of the other responses you cannot get into a true combat based mos (job) you will do your basic training at Parris Island South Carolina, that is the only MCRD (Marine Corps Recruit Depot) that has females. Then you will goto camp Geiger North Carolina and do your MCT (Marine Combat Training) and from there to you MOS school and onto your first unit. Hope that helped

Women can join the Marines. As to warfare, it all depends.
For good reason: when I was in the Army, the men marched with full field packs, M-14's, bayonets, canteens of water, the works.
Women rode in trucks and men loaded and unloaded their packs.

Yes women can apply to all branches of the military, but can't apply for certain jobs such as active combat.

I don't see why not! It's always a good idea to do what you think is right. But first, do they let women into the Marines? I know the do where I am in Canada.
