No, Thats an Air Force program, not a Navy program.
But there are other ways to gain advanced enlistment rank in the Navy. |

Normally, no.
However, the Navy does have numerous programs where you enlist for 6 years in order to receive advanced training (nuclear power, advanced electronics field, etc...). With these programs you come in as an E-3 and are advanced to E-4 upon completion of your "A" School, prior to reporting to your "C" School. |

Here's a few ways you can jump to E3 regardless of you contract length. If you come into the military with more then 60 college units completed, the equivalent to a AA degree. You will be awarded e3 after boot-camp. If you the top student at your "A" school you can be awarded E3. Everything else all has to do with you and your recruiter. If your coming in for six years it must be for the nuclear field which they make E4 9 times out of 10 before they even step on a boat. But if that's not the case you would only enlist for six years if your A school is more then a year long but if it is you will be a E3 before you make it to your actual command. And if none of these apply don't let your recruiter talk you into such a long enlistment with out some kind of advancement, and trust me the bonus money they offer looks good on paper but its not worth it. Do four years and try it out first. |
