Can you go through Army AIT on a profile?

I'm supposed to be sent to AIT soon but I'm currently on profile. I know you're supposed to run in formations and do the PT test at the end. But, will they let you heal at AIT while you're doing classes or will they put you in a holding company? Is there a time limit for being on profile? Please only answer if you have knowledge of this.

Your profile is good for as long as it is written for. You are also allowed a recovery period which is twice as long as the profile but not to exceed 60 days, during your recovery period you can't take a record PT test. You will most likely do "profile PT", which usually includes crunches. push-ups on knees, and walking if you are able. You will have to do a record PT test before you leave AIT though. |

If it is a permanent one, then you will do the events you can do within the limits of your profile. If it is a temp one, then you will do the things you can do, but will be expected to complete certain graduation requirements when the time comes...unless you want to recycle. Especially if you need the time to recover (2 twice the amount of time to recovery for every day on profile up to a certain amount of days).
Also, it will depend on how you got or why you have your profile. War injuries, cancer, things like that are big and can get you waivered on somethings. The normal stress fracture, knees hurt, "I hurt my back, but never did anything to do it", will have you run on a different clock.
Talk to the cadre ahead of time if possible, definitely once you arrive. If your in Basic, graduate! Do not the recycle/holdover thing there. You have less options and no one wants to hear it. Trust me.
