Cant decide to go for Infantry or Military Police in the Marine Corp?

what are the good & bad of these two jobs? which one will be best for me. thinking of joining the Los Angeles Police Department after my 4 years.
but i heard being Infantry is hard getting a job out in the civilian world after your duty time.. also heard being Infantry is perfect for police then being MP in the Corps. (real killers)
but Mp would be better right?..(says it right there lol)..perfect job isnt for a cop?
cant decide what would be good for me..again i HEARD these things from different Marines. now from people i dont know on yahoo answers..lol..JK.. an i dont want to ask my recruiter cuz we all know recruieters lie!..i mean i already kinda caught him..haha..not with the law but his experience..he was talking about the iraq war..but i doubt he saw anything..(he was a mecanic at that time)..other USMC Recruiter said..but yea back to the point..

MPs get their 1st pick at all confiscated items, weed, drugs, dirty magazines and they have extra powers to move around "on patrol".
I served in infantry and was transferred to regimental police and i loved the freedom; i was basically transferring prisoners everyday in cars and buses and after deliveries we go for coffee. Easy job. Infantry was hard work. But ofcourse you get some action if your an MP, you gotta police bars and be the unpopular guy.. but then again you have room for bribery as an MP.

These days to become a police officer you usually must have a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal or Justice Administration. They will not hire you because you worked as an MP/MA in the military. In some places this can actually be a mark against you, they do not want someone trained in and worked in one way when they require another. |

If you want to be a policeman after your time in the marines I would become an MP, you will have more experience of dealing With police matters than a grunt will
