So I am getting a big box of stuff ready to send to my husband & I was just wanting to know if we are allowed to send them drinks...??? Also, I have alot of stuff in the box, more than I can fit on the customs form.. so di i need to fill out 2 or what? I HATE CUSTOMS FORMS!!! lol

Powdered Koolaid is the BOMB!!! (Sugared kind is the best) You may not send him liquid drinks, they tend to break and spill when the postal workers play football with your package.
You will need to fill out a continuation on another form.
Keep in mind one thing... when your husband gets that package, he will be so in love with you at that moment, you couldn't even begin to imagine. I think that's worth filling out those stupid custom forms. |

Well the first thing that worries me is that you say you are sending a 'big box'. I send care packages to my hubby 'over there' like every week. You get more bang for your buck if you use the flat rate boxes. You can fill up a 12x12 box as heavy or as light as you want it to be for like $11 flat. They will not go by weight with the flat rate. I learned my lesson with this and you save SOOOOO much money when sending out packages. You can send like 2 flat rate boxes for less than the price of one regular box!
You can go to your local post office and get the boxes free OR you can go to http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10001&catalogId=10152&top=Y&categoryId=11820&parent_category_rn=&top_category= and they will send 'immediate family members' free shipping supplies (boxes, tape, etc..).
Save money on shipping, send your soldier extra stuff!!! You will need to include EVERYTHING on your customs form if you want to prevent any possible problems. Hope this helps! |
