I recently saw Deadliest Warrior and it had the Russian Spetsnaz beating the US Green Berets which in many cases shocked me. Now compared to the US Navy SEALS, US Army Rangers, and special forces of other countries, how deadly are the Russian Spetsnaz?

1. Why are you listening to a TV show ?
They also ranked the IRA terrorist as the best fighter there were, over all military spec ops.
And thats just total BS.
2. Put it this way, the soviets were in afghanistan for 10 years and got thier butts kicked.
The Army Special Forces took just 4 months to drive the Taliban out of afghanistan.
Now you tell me, 10 years of getting your butt whipped
4 months to take over the entire damn country ?

remember in the episode they only won by a little bit and compared to the rangers, they could kick the rangers butts,spetsnaz would only have beat the navy by a little more than the green berets.
as of the other countries none would have anything anywhere close to either the green berets or spetsnaz
but i think green berets should have won because like the americans say

Please never ever use Deadliest Warrior is an example to compare Special Operations...actually don't even try to compare them. Most people on here would just be saying what they've heard from a friend of a friend who knew a guy whos neighbor was in special operations. |
