You can do it either way. You can even switch in the middle... so long as you do not touch the ground or rest your body on the supporting poles.
Most people do pullups with their palms facing their face, and then some will switch to a wide grip with their palms facing away from them and can get 1 or 2 more. |

Yeah, they are allowed to be both facing towards you or away, as long as they both face the same way. |

It's your choice. You can do them either way. |

Both dude.... if you cant pull ur own weight u are worthless at pulling others body weight. Try wide grip pull-ups, close, and standard width as well. Experiment with it too, try forward and outward pull-ups too. |

you want to see the back of your hands when you go up...so palms facing away from you (im pretty positive its this way...i would atleast train this way because its harder i find to do them facing away) and if you could get away with palms towards you then go you other then that....away |

palm away from you is better, because back muscle bigger than arm muscle. |

pull-ups are when your palms face outward
chin-ups are when your palms face inward.
If your terminology is correct, then it is the first one. If you can do one though, you should be able to do other. Best bet to switch between the two forms so you exercise a wider range of muscle. |

I would think away from you because more difficult. I am 15 and my brother is in the Marines and i believe its this way, or its either way you want. idk if that answers much haha |
