we could have. i was in the 101st and only 60 miles southeast of Baghdad on hi-way 8 when we stopped after we blew a bridge. if we were to continue our march we would of had more causalities, and after vietnam, none of the politicians wanted to be responsible for that. gen. s. got chewed out for telling the president he was wrong to stop and we needed to go on and finish
