Current USMC marines??????

I was hope for detailed reqeuit traing experiances. For drop off to eating sleeping gas chamber the crucible shooting and PT. Anything and evrytjing day by day. Also I would very munch enjoy yahoo messeging and or emails for futher questions. Thnk you

I'm not scared, a bit nevous but it's ok it's a big desicion. I don't play video games. I am joining already and I'm a leader. Leaderish. I am just wpundering you exeriances. And for grammet and spelling I useing an I pod touch. So tell if you like but don't judge me

Your every action (going to make a head call, when you wake up, when the lights go out) is controlled by your DIs. Boot camp doesn't require physical strength since PT will make you stronger but it will build your mental fortitude. You will learn what it means to be an US Marine (history, general knowledge, etc) through classes and learn to be a rifleman first (rifle range). My advice is never give up and live day to day, chow to chow. You may not get time to eat chow every time and not some recruits may mess up in drill but learn to work together. The "Crucible" was a joke. By the end of boot camp, you're so pumped up to earn the title "US Marine", that nothing can stop you from finishing it. Good luck and Semper Fi.

It's not that bad, really. The first few days you basically go through medical processing and get all your gear. After that your drill instructors yell a lot and make you scurry around. They chill out after a week or so and only mess with the screw ups. It gets pretty fun after a couple weeks. There is a lot of class room time. Chow is great. I liked it. Email me with other questions. Also the gas chamber is nothing. It's about 5 min of irritation.

I understand your scared, nervous and all that. its nice to get help and know what happening. but look man. put your normal cloths on. pack very simple. and go get an experience, best thing you can do.

First off, if that is your idea of spelling and grammar, you won't make it in the Marines. If you are a typical high school grad who sits on a sofa all day playing video games, you won't make in the Marines. If you are a natural leader, you wouldn't be asking about such dumb stuff. Many guys have completed the necessary training, and many have washed out. You sound to me like a potential wash-out because you don't want to take the plunge unless you know all the answers. Are you a man? Can you make decisions on your own? Do you have the confidence to stand up against the unknown and risk your life on your ability to survive? If not, maybe you ought to be thinking of joining the Girl Scouts.
