Hi,

Was wondering if my unit has to write anything specific on the dd 368 , for a conditional release so I can go back to active duty... A buddy told me that i just give a blank copy to an active duty recruiter and he fills it out. and and another told me that I have to get the DD 368 from my national guard unit and hand it into the active duty recruiters office... any clarification????

An Active Recruiter generates the form, and signs it. He/she also should provide you with a DA form 4187.

Then you take those forms to your Guard Unit, and get them signed. Your 368 must be signed by the first O-6 in your chain of command.

Once they are signed, take them back to your Army Recruiter, and he can begin processing you for enlistment.

Hi im in the national guard and i still havent gone to basic and im wondering if after a year i can request a conditional release to go active duty. i dont want to stay within the Army i want to switch over to the Marine Corp, how can i get that approve.
