Define Torture......?

This is not a thread asking "Is torture ok". Instead, how would you define the term "torture". Regardless of your stances on whether it's right or wrong, what acts should be classified under the word torture?

For example, is putting somebody through a psychological "event" torture?
Would forcing somebody to listen to the same song over and over again be torture?
Would putting somebody on a strict diet of strictly the essentials be torture?
So on and so forth. Where do you draw the line? Again, I am not referring to the line of right and wrong, but instead I am referring to the line between torture and non-torture. To some people that line will be the same but to others it will be different.

anything that intentionally inflicts pain on a person. whether that pain be physical, mental, emotional, etc.
