Do your own homework. In my day (not long ago) we didn't have google or yahoo, wikipedia or dictionary.com, or yahoo answers for others to do my homework. Internet resources aren't even allowed in college (or in my HS) so get used to it. It's called a library. |

Camouflage is mostly a military word that means a disguise to try to keep something hidden from the enemy or from anybody whom you don't want to see it and easily recognize what it is. Ships, planes, tanks, cannon and soldiers are all painted in camouflage colors during wartime.
A concentration camp is simply a very large prison camp in which prisoners are kept locked up permanently, so that they cannot to escape. In Europe during WWII, the camps were also death camps, where millions of innocent people were murdered.
K-rations are cans or packages of emergency food for soldiers who are fighting in an area where they can't get back to their camp to eat. The soldiers carry it in their backpacks with them whenever they are doing some fighting. Mostly, it doesn't taste very good, but it will keep them from starving.
"Rationing" means doling out something that is in short supply in such a way that everybody gets equal amounts of it. During wartime, many common items are rationed to the people in order to save most of it for the troops who are fighting and thus have first priority on those items.
Gestapo was the name of the German's secret police during WWII. They were very powerful and cruel and could arrest just about anybody for any reason.
Blackouts are periods of time when all the lights are kept turned off so that enemy bombers can't see where to bomb very well. |
