It is just to see that the pirates are treated fairly, and punish those Americans on that ship that assaulted them, My boy Obama knows best. |

To protect American citizens? Could that be it?
I see where you're going with this. It sounds real suspicious that we are reacting to American citizens being hijacked. MUA HA HA HA |

Glad to see you are exercising the First Amendment right we defend and using it to smear us. Since you think we are so useless why don't you feel free to join your buddies over there and see how long you last?
EDIT: If you can find me and you want to fight me than come on by and see what happens. I'm pretty sure the Army taught me a lot more than your anti-government Internet web pages taught you in self-defense. But don't be surprised if myself or another service member uses our Second Amendment right against you if you threaten us personally. I can see you are a lost cause and you are going to troll until your question gets deleted.
I guess we're like the police to you. You hate to see us when you are going 90 in a 55 but you love us when you are getting robbed at gunpoint and that badge is what keeps a bullet out of your head. We're useless to you now because a war hasn't been fought on American Soil since the 1800s (Pearl Harbor doesn't count since it was a hit and run attack on American Soil that was never repeated during the war). But if we wasn't as good as we are how long do you think we would have gone without an attack?
EDIT 2: Obviously you misunderstood me when I said "see how long you last." What I meant is that most people are quick to call the US bad but when they spend a week in a third-world country where the closest McDonald's is over a thousand miles away they change their tune.
But no matter how you try to spin it you sound VERY anti-American. You demonize the military for doing their jobs and you are saying that the US doesn't need us. The reason we haven't been directly attacked since the 1800s is because our enemies can't get to us. Pearl Harbor and 9/11 happened because the attackers committed suicide during their attack. In a standard battle they wouldn't even last a day against the military AND proud Americans who are willing to use their guns. If I killed someone in Iraq it was because they attacked me or one of my Soldiers first, not out of me trying to be a criminal. Do a Google search of the name "Steven Green" and you will see what happens when someone is caught doing wrong over there.
I don't ask people to thank me and I don't look for it. But if someone wants to thank me in the same way they thank police officers or firemen then I won't push them away. When was the last time someone told you "thank you" for being a Fascist? But I'm pretty sure you already have your mind made up and nothing I say to you will make you stop hating us. |

An American was taken hostage, I could only hope they did the same for me. |

You sir, are an idiot. What if that was you? Ya i bet If you were being held hostage by Somalian pirates, you probably wouldn't want our military to try and save you. Your just like all the liberal idiots that talk $hit on our country until you need/want something. Do us all a favor and leave our country if you have such a problem with it.
Your just a angry, pathetic little boy. And it's sad. You say we don't need a military? What do you think would happen if we didn't have a military? Everything would be just fine and no one would bother us? Your hilarious, what joke you are. You need a friend buddy haha |

Well considering the Somali pirates just hijacked a US ship I think it is safe to say it has something to do with our country. |

As a self-described "Constitutionalist," you should know that Article 1, Section 8 grants Congress the power to:
"To define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas, and Offenses against the Law of Nations:"
and
"To provide and maintain a Navy"
I would say that fighting piracy in the Middle East is well within the scope of the Department of Defense. After all, the Navy has been doing that sort of work for over 200 years. |

Well that authority comes from the US Constitution.
Remember the part about the President is commander in chief of the US Armed forces?
If the Constitution does not forbid it - then the military obeys any and all orders from the President that are consistent with US law. |

The same place where the Supreme Chancellor B. Hussein got the authority to fire a corporate executive? It is imaginary authority. Besides he has a birth certificate in KENYA, making him ineligible for Presidency. |

Its a wonderful life.
