When I go into my recruiters office to fill out the paperwork for the dependency waiver, I know I have to bring her SSC, Birth Certificate, and the marriage certificate, but does she have to be there too? Or can I just bring in her stuff and take care of it myself? If she does have to be there, what kinds of things does she have to be there to do?

She does not have to be there but it would make the process alot quicker and smoother. You have the documents you need but you will also need for her to write a support statement that says she is fully in support of your decision to join the military and that your enlistment will not be a hardship financially on the family. Also, you as a couple will need to fill out a financial statement and you know the wife will have all the answers on that one as usual. She doesn't need to be there but she should be. Good luck |
