I hear ya girl, but it's ok, calm down. It's all semantics, he doesn't want a cease-fire, he wants a "cessation of hostilities".
I hate him too, don't worry. But this one might be gettng blown out of proportion. There are various levels of peace, and he is just pushing for a different one that some others might want. |

You are crying over this? What the president said was that he would not support a cease fire without a more permanent solution. The one suggested by the UN and others did nothing to work towards a valid solution. Since Hezbollah continues firing rockets into Israel during the cease fire to help people evacuate, its felt that Hezbollah really isn't interested in a cease fire. The President stated over and over again that Israel has a right to defend themselves. And he is very correct. |

Because, in this old mans opinion, Bush is letting Israel do the job we can't do....Attack terrorism with everything we got. If they can keep the fight going, and then ask the U.N. for help, we can enter this battle too....Oh, War, War, Wonderful War...What a bunch of fools we are.... |

I think people believe that if Hezbollah gained Israel’s territory that they would be happy and all the terrorist conflict would end there. I know this is not the case. Terrorist Muslims hide behind a cloak of religion whilst they seek to gain ultimate world power. The Koran states that Allah cannot return until the world is cleansed of all infidels (anyone who does not believe in Allah). You start to get a understanding of why they hate the rest of the non-Muslim world when you read the tenants in the Koran and the Hadiths.I read more militant rhetoric in the Koran and Hadiths than I ever heard or read in my eight years active duty in the Army. These Muslim holy books call for them to do all that you have seen the terrorists doing in the last 50 years. It should not be a surprise to anyone that they are doing what they’re bible and Muslim clerics tell them to.Isreal is just a speed bump and the rest of the world is the mission. If you don’t believe that the average Muslim agrees with the terrorist’s actions then explain to me why they were dancing in the streets after 9/11.Good day to all of you, and may our future generations never have to endure the scourge of religious tyranny in the future. |

If you could tell me that you can pet a rabid dog then I will say that there will be peace in the middle east. President Bush wants the war to end. He is saying when the Hezbollah terrorists lay down their arms and quit firing missiles and leave Israels border alone then and only then should there be a cease fire,.The people in Lebanon are terrorists, they are supported by Iran and Syria who wants to own the entire middle east and then the world. You scream now but wait til you are learning to speak Arabic and reading the Koran. There are newspaper sites on the inter net that is not printed by American people. read them they are in English. People really need to educate themselves with what is going on in the world. The Koran is on line find it and read it. You will see what the terrorists are.http://mb-soft.com/public/terroris.html Please read this site it is very insightful about the belief system. |

Much money can be made from war. Ask Haliburton. |

He says that 'Of course everyone wants a ceasefire, but this will not solve the problem that started the war in the first place.'
He's an idiot and thinks World War 3 will keep us as a superpower longer instead of killing everyone slightly sooner. |

Sorry to hear of your depression. President Bush did not say he did NOT want a cease fire. What his administrations spokespeople did say is he was not calling for one. There is a difference.
See, every other cease fire in the Mid East has only allowed the terrorist to rearm and come back later even stronger. If the same pattern is allowed to continue, and with Iran developing nucular weapons, and Iran behind Hezbollah, how long will it be that Hezbollah, or Hamas, or some other terrorist regime is provided nuclear weapons to attack Israel, while Iran sits back a watches?
Hezbollah must be stopped now as one part of the war on terror.
If you do not think Hezbollah is a terrorist organization, just take a look at what has gone on in Lebonon. The Lebonese people have been taken over as a result of Hezbollah's terrorism against them.
And don't be fooled, the Lebonese civilians that are dying are because Hezbollah is using them as shields and won't let them leave. Hezbollah are cowards (as are most terrorists) and are using civilians as assets of war. |

The more upset that the middle east is the more the price of oil will go up and the more money that Bush and his cronies will make. Simple matter, simple indeed |

He wants a sustainable cease fire not one that allows Hezbollah to continue to fire missiles into Israel. People don't seem to understand that Israel has never (as the US has never) targeted nor wished to kill civilians. They are being used as shields and then the leftist are claiming civilians are being targeted, they fail to see that the evil ones are those using innocent children as shields. |

We need a better answer than another useless 'cease fire.'
There have been scores of 'cease fires' that did not achieve anything.
What is needed is a force of peacekeepers on the border that is capable of actually enforcing a cease fire (and is willing to do so).
President Bush is putting pressure on the other nations do actually do something effective. Give him a chance. |

What he said is that he wants a lasting cease fire, not a temporary cease fire. Why would you want a temporary cease if in two weeks the bombs will start falling again? Stop putting the liberal spin on everything Bush says. Use your brain retards. |

It seems that he wants to see Hezbollah disarmed, and he has given the go ahead to Israel to do the job so that we do not have to use our troops. That is the only line of logic which I can see coming out of this situation.
As to not paying attention, don't castigate yourself over that, somethings just are too intense. I grew up with this sh*t. We figured we would all be dead before we hit 25. |

HE is just saying what he thinks makes him and the party look good to the American right wingers (religious nutjobs included).
He knows if he doesnt, the Media Mogul's like Abe Foxman will skewer him and his party and they can forget about the donations. |

Think of it this way: he is considering the future of the USA as a superpower...we are going broke over there in Iraq, and if Israel fights the 'terrorists' in Lebanon than we don't have to. We can't afford to, even if we wanted!!
Also, Iran gives arms to Hezbollah. By Israel fighting Hezbollah and US supporting Israel, we are fighting a 'proxy war' with Iran, and sending them a message that they can't go around doing this crap.
But it doesn't justify the killing. I hate it and I think the whole thing stinks.
XTRA NOTE: For all you 'answerers' who believe that Bush did NOT want a cease fire, you are mistaken! Try listening to BBC instead of Fox news. |

the Europeans think we should not get involved at all, so how come everybody now wants us to get involved. I say "they started the War, now lets finished it" why should we help anybody, no one ever helped us. Did they, When we have a Hurricane or any other disaster, we help ourselves, we don't ask for no handout or aid. |
