That would seem unthinkable for most people and very hard to proove. In other words a "conspiracy theory". But very possible If US trained, armed and financialy support the terrorists at some point. |

Asking insulting questions is no way to make your point. Did the U.N. kill their own relief workers in Afghanistan in a bid for sympathy? Does Israel fake Palestinian suicide bombings?
The victims who die in terrorist attacks around the world deserve more respect than this. The U.S. GOVERNMENT's mistakes are many, but the civilians who died in 9/11 have little to do with neo-colonialism, just like most Israeli civilians have little to do with their government's stupidity. We all need to learn to separate people, their governments, and terrorists. Then we can all have a discussion about it. All terrorist attacks are a tragedy, regardless of the cause they stand for or its legitimacy.
Going out there in the name of freedom and killing Iraqi civilians is wrong. So was bombing innocents on 9/11 to make a statement against the U.S. Neither side has a moral high ground there. |

your tinfoil hat might be on to tightly.
I keep hearing people say it was a war for oil, what oil is in Afghanistan???? and in Iraq...we have not seen any oil benefit from Iraq oil here in the US. Prices are higher than ever. |

No, and as an American Soldier that has served this country and was part of the 9/11 search and rescue team I am offended by this question. Invade other countries? yes. Set up bases around the world? Yes. But kill that many Americans for gain? NO!!! |

Why would the US bother colonizing any nation that lives in the 6th century when we could nuke their butts and have a glass parking lot.
You assume we HAVE to have mideast gas and oil
Consider where the mideast be if we decided to cut off your pipelines and shipping so you would have to survive with out the US consumer you mid-easterners would get your dream of living in tents and eating off of camel dung fires |

The subject is huge and the implactions 9/11 caused are massive. To ask a question like that shows your lack of understanding of international studies and your complete openess to propaganda! In other words your a bit of a simple prat! |

uh, no. why would United Airlines waste millions on airplanes to run them into buildings? (and open themselves to serious lawsuits?)
Why would all the businesses in the Twin Towers sacrifice their employees? (of which there were several hundred, some of which are no longer in existence because ALL THEIR employees are now dead...) and why would we try to colonize Iraq? To do so would be to invite war with ALL of her neighbors(!) not just Iran.
Why would you want Saddam Hussein smiling in your face and reaching around you with a knife in his hand to stab you in the back because you happen to be of Kurdish descent? Or because you disagree with his policies? or have one of his sons take your wife or daughter and abuse them just because they could? |

It's nice to see that people formulate their opinions on important issues based on the words of the learned people like rappers. It's this kind of drivel that makes me sick. What next? Should I seek advice on my mortgage from the human statue in the park? |

No, because three can keep a secret if two are dead, but on the other hand if you had an idea something was amiss, and looked the other way until it happened, now what power one could gain is beyond the imagination. History is full of such stories! |

I don't think the US did it herself - but I think Bush knew about it and figured it would be a great way for him to get back into Iraq after his dad didn't finish the job. My guess is that Bush Sr & Jr were at odds about how to handle it the first time around and Jr wanted to show dad how he should have done it. Hopefully Sr. is getting a nice homeschool lesson out of it for his idiot son - now can we all get back to being a world power and handling this diplomatically as part of the world community?
Peace! |

I didn't realize how many paranoid Americans were out there until I started seeing the questions on here.
Oil driven campaign? What the hell does that even mean? It's not like there is such a gas shortage all over the world, that we have to go in and take over some Middle East Country's gas supply! If the gas shortage is as bad as some of you make it out to be, bad enough that we had to invade Iraq, then why isn't gas expensive in the Middle East? Yes, the oil comes from over there, but an oil shortage is an oil shortage, and they would have to hike the prices up there as well. And please don't anyone say that prices are high there, because we were in two Middle East countries just last week, and the highest we saw gas was (To put into US dollar terms) less then nineteen cents a gallon.
9/11 wasn't started by our government. It was started by a bunch of fanatical people who hated America and all it stands for.
It was a horrible and tragic thing that happened not only to our country, but every peaceful country in the world. I've said this before, and I'll say it now, if you think America is ran by a bunch of people who would do something as sick and twisted as flying planes into buildings just so they can go come up with an excuse to go take down some other country for their oil, then why live here? That goes way beyond of just being a little scared. If I really thought my government could do somthing like that, I would actually fear for my life and those I love. |

No. This is a Muslim conspiracy theory to excuse their own demented psychopathic behaviour. It's the Muslims who want to create a worldwide caliphate. |

well Ghuffi, are you the same one who asked about Israel too? may I ask is the 'nation' of Islam entirely innocent in your eyes?
Is any nation entirely innocent?
It would take a somewhat naieve person to think that.
Its only a small suggestion but if any group wants to promote themselves and their religion as one of peace, might I suggest that car bombs, planes into buildings, suicide bombs and such hardly help the cause?
I dont think the west hates palestine / Islam or any Islamic state. I cant say the same is true the other way round. Far from considering Islam to be a religion of peace, I am actually afraid of it and its members. Such is you PR machine.
America bomb their own people? Not sure they have such an agenda. However your questions on here smack of an anti west / Israeli agenda. |
