Yes, we fought Mexico all by ourselves.
Got a lot of nice land from that war. |

The Civil War... The Indian Wars... The Spanish-American War... and the Mexican War, to name a few wars that the US won without entering into a coalition. |

Indian Wars 1780's to 1880's
Barbary Pirates 1800's
War of 1812
Mexican War. 1845

Philippine Insurrection 1898-1902
Yes we have won plenty on our own. |

Those who think the US won "The War of 1812' are being a bit delusional. |

You ever hear of the revolutionary war there chief? What is wrong with allies anyway? Most of our enemies would have their allies, no? |
|

Well there was the Civil War and the war with Tripoli. The Revolutionary War was won with the help of the French and I don't think it was exactly a winning war in 1812.Although the U.S of A did most of the important work in the Gulf War. |

Last one was the civil war. before that the battle for independence. The Us usually gets dragged into wars like WW1 and WW2.Until desert storm. First war we started and we had a lot of allies. Then Bush JR started the whole war on terror thing. Allies are needed to win a war. |

Gen. Andrew Jackson took Florida because the Spanish were harboring terrorists that would attack U.S. That got him elected president. Then the U.S. fought Spain again and got more land. Then the U.S. fought Mexico and got even more land. The U.S. fought the Indian Wars and won (got some land from that).
The U.S. went after Grenada, Panama and Lybia (even when it was called Tripoli) twice too. |

Revolution
The war of 1812
Mexican American war,
Spanish American war,
Korean War (although some might argue that wasn't a true victory)
In all wars we have had minor alliances and detractors who incisted we needed more allies. |

The Civil War is the only one we really even fought alone (can't really count our fight with the Barbary Coast pirates).
The US played a large role in WW2 (even though we were very late in getting there to support the British. Our role in WW1 was much smaller than that of many other nations. Even the Revolutionary war was only won with massive help from France.
However, the US does have intelligent soldiers and well trained oens at that. |

Has any country ever won a war on their own? |
|

Ice
|
Did we? Maybe some ones back as a young country, but certainly none within the last century. And I am not counting those where we declared we won, but in reality we didn't change a thing, or didn't accomplish any goal. As for intelligent soldiers, I think anyone who joins the military without being threatened is not all that intelligent. If they were then their wouldn't be a war to begin with 'cause no one would fight it. |

Can you define what you mean by "alone"? The US won the Mexican-American War with little to no help from the outside. |
