Once again you modified a news story to fit your agenda. You are truly a pathetic creature. Here is a link to the correct story.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070415/ap_on_re_as/afghan_marines_shooting
"We deeply regret the loss of life and casualties that resulted from the (suicide car bombing) and the actions that followed." "We will work to prevent similar events from occurring in the future." |

Its easy to be a Monday morning quarterback. Why not put yourself in the situation and ask yourself how might you react? Usually its the inability to use logic and think things through that causes this kind of irrational and misguided RE-writing of the story to fit your bias. No one likes war but remember, there are two rules of war. RULE 1; People die. RULE2; You cannot change RULE 1.
Since you were probably not in Vietnam either, SHUT the F*** UP! |

So you work for CNN, the NYTimes or Al Jezeera?
Half of what you state is total lies. |

Ok, what's your source and where is the link to the actual article. If you don't have it, you made it all up because you are a traitor and hate the military. |

Look at the people here deny that the US army could do wrong. They need to open their eyes and recognise that they have been brainwashed by a morally bankrupt government, although judging by some of the hysteria in some of the responses, that is not going to happen. |

Of course you were there and saw the whole thing with your own eyes. What? You weren't? Oh, I see. Been reading the National Inquirer again, haven't you. |

You stupid F-Stick!
Rule # 1, People Die in War
Rule #2, You and I can't Change rule #1
As my parents told me when I was young-"If the Kent State Students were studying in the Library, none of them would have gotten shot."
Same applies in Afghanistan. Why can't you wait until the Military completes their investigation? Are civil rights only for you and your ilk? The Gitmo detainees deserve more civil rights by your account than American Citizens.
You filthy POS!

Whenever you hear a story that sounds emotionally charged, it's in your best interest to be skeptical.
Ask yourself: why would they use emotion to relate facts? Aren't the facts compelling enough to speak for themselves? |

All of you need to stop playing "armchair quarterback". Our young men are in a war and deserve our support. Casualties are a thing of war, both civilian and military. It is unavoidable. To pre-suppose is unrealistic. Put YOUR life on the line, and then tell me how you would react? The absolute truth is that our men are fighting an underhanded enemy. To stay alive, they may have to resort to unsavory tactics. So be it! Our enemy has created the stage. Our men are merely trying to close the theater. It is not justifiable to condemn their actions. Mistakes are bound to be made in combat. Planting bombs to wipe out children is not a mistake. It is a calculation. Let our boys fight this enemy without the "know-it-all" attitudes of people who can't see the entire picture. |

It would take just one US Marine behind a machinegun on a speeding convoy to SNAP in order to inflict such atrocity! However, that Marine's buddies would be equally responsible for the carnage if they failed to stop this Marine from wrecking the kind of damage that he did. A full, thorough, and transparent investigation should be conducted in order for the US Marines to redeem themselves. There have been far too many incidents of US Marines going on a rampage for this to be whitewashed. Remember Kilo Company, Haditha, Ishaqi, among others? |

I am not behind this tragedy 100%. They should be court martialed and jailed. We cannot have our troops shooting at innocent civilians. To fire blindly into a crowd sends the message we are sending already to the world. That our leaders are incompetent. There is no accountability. And apparently we can no longer contain volatile situations. I do support our troops, but they to have to abide by rules. They are supposed to be highly trained professionals.
The only part of the above statement I could not verify was "The USA military said they did it for freedom and the fighting was the American way. The Marines stated
the American people were behind them 100 per cent. This is the way to reach hearts and minds. Just look at Vietnam."
that part I did not see. What I did see that wasn't included was
"The dead included a 1-year-old boy, a 4-year-old girl and three women, the report said. Thirty-five people were wounded in the shootings."
and
"A U.S. military commander has also determined that the Marines used excessive force and referred the case for possible criminal inquiry, a senior U.S. defense official told The Associated Press on Wednesday." |
