Don't let the rantings of illiterate punks ruin your day, dear! |

Your husband probably made the stronger choice, in walking away. While teenage boys do seriously need their butts kicked from time to time, a trained soldier doing it might be overkill.
Don't worry, a kid with a mouth that big is going to get what's coming to him sooner or later. Letting someone else have the pleasure just keeps your hubby out of jail. |

You did the mature and right thing,
Those are the same kinds of kids who make fun of the police - until they need them.
My father built a hospital for the Viet Nam wounded. He adopted two refugees and got them out of the country when it fell. He got called a "baby killer" when he came home.
People are idiots and they have no understanding of the sacrifices you and your husband make. |

That sort of thing has happened to me plenty....I've been called a baby killer, told to go to hell, whatever. There's nothing he could've done. He's a Soldier, that's part of it. Freedom of speech. And being that he's a Soldier, he has to be the bigger person, keep his mouth shut, and moved on.
It's not easy...but really, we signed up, so we gotta take the **** that comes along with it. There's no law that says you have to respect members of the military. |

Your husband did the right thing, although I KNOW he wanted to kick their azzes. Those punks are a waste of life. I may have told him to say what he wants about me but not my wife unless he wanted to know pain, because I would have introduced him to it. |

There was nothing that you could do. There's no telling with kids thse days, if your husband would have said something back, he might have gotten shot. You just never know these days.
Don't let it embarrass you. It was more embarrassing to that idiot and I can assure you that many people in that mall were giving him looks that could have killed. |

After reading the account of events I can’t help but think that, “Hey kid, that big mouth of yours will serve you well when you wind up in prison.” would have sounded pretty good.
Seriously though, your husband did the right thing to just walk away and leave those degenerates in their ignorance. |

Just what you did, and nothing more. I wish they could go to Iraq, they wouldn't last a day. They know nothing, are ignorant. Never fight ignorance head on. |

You did right. These kids are a product of poor upbringing. |

You did the right thing. You ignored the idiots. Its people like that that bring Society down. Be thankful everyone isn't like that. |

You did the right thing. Don't be embarrassed. Be proud of the dignity you and your husband showed. The only other thing you might should have done is to report them to mall security. And I want to personally thank your husband for serving our country. I was in the first Desert Storm campaign. Despite people like them, our country is still worth fighting for! God bless America! |

Just be happy and proud to know that you and your husband are doing your part to allow punks like them to have their freedom of speech. They will likely not amount to much, if they already have no respect for those people who defend our country. You were both wise to ignore them, as they aren't worth your breath. |

your the bigger person, you did the right thing, just remember we are proud of you, kid,s have NO respect anymore, the way they are raised, i solute you, proud to be an american, you troops are doing great, and a tuff job i know, |

Ignorance is rampant among those who have no idea why we do, what we do. Since I'm retired, I would have been sure to shred them and tell their parents to take them home in body bags! Respect is taught at home and I'm sure that they never learned that valuable lesson. We defend the rights of others, how they use those right has become a sad state indeed. If you want you can come visit us any time! That's a standing invitation from us to you and your family. Serve with Honor above all else. |

You guys probably did the right thing. Would be a tough call though. I would have probably confronted them, but thats just me. Freedom of speech I guess. He deserved a beating, but that would be wrong since he was in uniform. |

Those kids are very unmature, if it was not for our soldiers, they (those punk kids) would not even have the freedom to walk around in a mall |

I think y'all ought to have confronted him. an army soldier in uniform has every right to defend his integrity and the integrity of the United States Military. If it happens again, you should confront them, ask for their cell phone and take their home # (that way they can't give you a fake #) and then proceed to give them a short education of what the U.S. Military has done to give them the freedom they have.
It's absolutely ridiculous how little respect civilians have for the military that keeps them safe, and you and your husband should not have to endure that kind of persecution. The Iraq war veterans are going through the same thing the Vietnam vets did, and its not fair. |

Unfortunately, when in uniform you can't really do or say anything. That's just sick and wrong that they said that. I think that EVERY AMERICAN CITIZEN should have to serve in the military at one point or another - maybe then they would APPRECIATE THEIR FREEDOM THAT THEY TAKE SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR GRANTED!!!!!!!!!!!! Ergh that t's me off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a Navy wife, I know how you feel. I'd like to punch 'em in the face, kick 'em in the balls and beeeeeeeep slap 'em all the way back to the country they came from so they can see what it's like to NOT HAVE ANY FREEDOM, maybe then they'd show a little more appreciation and respect for those who DEFEND THEIR RIGHT TO ACT LIKE FREAKIN' IDIOTS!!!!!!! |

If I was enlisted I would have kicked his ***. From what I know it if an officer got in a fight like that it would be much worse for him. Thank you and your husband for everything you do for this country God bless. |

Its a sad thing, they have no respect that he fights so they can have the freedom to say whatever they want, and that's what they choose to say.
******
I'm sorry you know who you are, but yes, anyone who risks their life serving their country IS entitled to a little damn respect. |

Sounds like pieces of crap that should be thrown on the front line... They have no idea what sacrifices have been made for them. You and and your patriot did the right thing by walking away. Trash like that isn't worth going to jail over. He'll eventually get what is coming to him. |

I am in complete shock! I cannot beleive it. God Bless both of you.
You did the right thing, those kids are just punks that don't know any better.
It is upseting that it happened, but look at the source....teenage punks. Take it with a grain of salt.
Thank you to you and your husband! |

Some people enjoy making an as.s of themselves in public. That's EXACTLY what that punk did. You did right by keeping on walking. Too bad they were punk KIDS, then your husband could have taken them to task. By ignoring them you made them NON-persons.
Thank your husband for serving our country!
SALUTE!
